Well it's Christmas here at the studio. Things are looking merry and bright and the Christmas rush is in full swing.
Did you notice I only mentioned the studio? I don't know why but I always make it a big TO-DO when we put up our Christmas decorations in our home. I reserve an entire evening to do such work. Having to dig out all the decorations, reliving all the stories about how we made certain pieces, and singing along to Christmas songs requires an entire evening.
But you see, there are a lot of things that I have to prep before the big TO-DO. First is move all the totes from the attic downstairs where I must look at them six times a day for two weeks and trip over them at least four times. I then must make a list of all the people I have to buy for and pick out the perfect gift which then leads to purchasing nothing but gift cards. Finally I must watch at least a dozen viewings of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Then, and only then, does it feel like Christmas and I can start decorating.
In the meantime, here is the studio's Christmas tree. I'm pretty proud of myself because last year I actually called in a professional (aka Sharla) to help me decorate but this year I tackled it solo.
